What is Reiki
Reiki pronounced (Ray-Key) means "universal life energy" in Japanese. It is a simple, natural, safe, yet powerful Eastern Medicine energy healing art technique.  Reiki uses simple hands-on, no-touch, and visualization techniques, with the goal of improving the flow of life energy in a person to facilitate relaxation, stress reduction and subsequently promote wellness. 


Where negative energies such as stress, poor habits, negative emotions and toxins trigger illness and dysfunction, applying positive energies can help to trigger relaxation and wellness.  Reiki can help with a wide range of physical and emotional conditions to help bring balance into a person’s life.  Reiki has been used in major clinics and hospitals as part of alternative healing practice, and doctors, dentists, nurses and other health professionals have been trained to use its gentle touch techniques as part of their practice.

What Might You Experience in a Reiki Session

Reiki sessions can take various forms, but most commonly resemble typical bodywork appointments, where the receiver lies clothed on a massage table or sits in a chair. Reiki is a simple procedure, consisting of calm and concentrated touching, with the practitioner focusing on healing and cultivating energy depending on needs on the receiver’s body.

Each session is unique.  Depending on your needs, we may choose to incorporate a variety of energy practices such as reiki, qigong, discussion of current physical and emotional state, setting intentions, meditation or sound techniques, all to help support you along your path to deeper relaxation and wellness.
